Ok, good. Let's go through this!

F(3) = X^3 = 3^3 = 27

F(-1) = ln(x) = ln(-1) = 3.14i

F(0) = x^6+x^7+x^8+ 2*Pi = 0+0+0+2pi = 6.28

a) and sum the individual answers ______________________

= 27 + 3.14i + 6.28 =

33.28+3.14i

b) then square this sum _______________________________
=

1097.70+209.00i

c) then use the square as an exponent to the base 10 ______________________

10^(1097.70+209.00i)

-1.7359117376479370166560571642297e1267+2.053527441494281148518046059086e1267i

d) finally, take the (1/2)* (log of #c) ________________

633.71 + 0.49i

I know that is a strange answer, but when you take 10 to that strange power, it gets VERY large. I couldn't round that step before part D.

Let me know if you have any questions before you accept. Thanks,

Scott
